George E. Terren

Gilford, NH-----George E. Terren, 63, of 312 Cherry Valley Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Wednesday, August 28, 2002.

Mr. Terren was born March 30, 1939 in Natick, MA, the son of George and Wynona (Kimball) Terren.

Mr. Terren lived in Marlborough, MA for many years before moving to Gilford, NH a year and half ago. He summered on Mark Island in Gilford for thirty years.

Mr. Terren was the former owner of the Pelican Bay Restaurant in Marlborough, MA. He was also the former owner of G & J Woodworking, the Wayside Country Store, the Wayside Driving Range, the G & J Antique Car Restoration and N. E. Lending all of Marlborough, MA.

Mr. Terren had a large miniature bottle collection and it was in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon (Beland) Terren of Gilford; one son, Geoffrey Golgata of Marlborough, MA; two daughters, Patrice Baringer of Blackstone, MA and Laura J. Ross of San Francisco, CA; two grandchildren, Shane Baringer and Kasey Baringer; one sister, Joyce McLean of California and one brother, Ronald Terren of Northampton, MA; and several nephews and nieces.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2002 from 5-8 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2002 from 2-4PM and 6-8 PM at the Duckett Funeral Home of J. S. Waterman & Sons, 656 Boston Road, Route 20, Sudbury, MA.

There will be no funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Stroke Association, New England Affiliate, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
