Adolph "Kris" M. Kresco, Jr.

Laconia-----Adolph "Kris" M. Kresco, Jr. 80, of 187 Court Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Wednesday, August 28, 2002.

Mr. Kresco was born October 9, 1921 in Brimfield, MA, the son of Otto and Mary (Karaviz) Kresco. He served in the U. S. Army Air Force during WWII servicing the planes that flew the "Hump".

Mr. Kresco lived in E. Hartford, Connecticut for many years and worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, painting the parts for the Alaskan pipeline. In 1970 he moved to Laconia where he worked for Bergen-Paterson until his retirement. Mr. Kresco was a member of the Lakes Region Christian Church. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed hunting and flower gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin P. Kresco of Laconia, and Matthew D. Kresco of Moultonboro; eight grandchildren, Chelsea Kresco, Emily Kresco, Zecheriah Kresco, Adam Kresco, Jacob Kresco, and Jozef Kresco all of Laconia and Ryan Kresco and Madison Kresco both of Moultonboro; two brothers, Edward Kresco and Joseph Kresco both of Massachusetts; two sisters, Amelia Maynard of Massachusetts and Jean Gradzion of Fiskdale, MA; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Kresco and Stanley Kresco and four sisters, Henrietta Kresco, Adella Adams, Ann Sullivan and Mary Olson.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2002 at 1:00 PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. Pastor Bradley Wentzel of the Lakes Region Christian Church will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lakes Region Christian Church, 31 Lindsay Court, Laconia, NH 03246.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
