Wilfred "Duffy" Dufault

Gilford-----Wilfred "Duffy" Dufault, 68, of 9 Sargent Place, Gilford, died at his home on Monday, August 19, 2002.

Mr. Dufault was born January 22, 1934 in Laconia, the son of Albert and Dora (Camaire) Dufault.

Mr. Dufault was a truck driver and was a life time resident of the Lakes Region. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and received the Silver Star and the Purple Heart.

Mr. Dufault was a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks #876, and a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Laconia Post #1670 and the American Legion Wilkins Smith Post No 1 and was a life time member of the Laconia Rod and Gun Club.

Survivors include his wife, Diana (Fortier) Dufault of Gilford; a son, Mark A. Dufault, of Rochester; a daughter, Donna SanSouci, of Manchester; a stepson, Toby Long of Orlando, Florida and two stepdaughters, Bobette and her husand Lloyd Leeman of Gorham, NH and Denise Boynton of Meredith, NH; several grandchildren; four sisters, Arlene Bean of Waterloo, New York, Alice Gagnon and Shirley Arel both of Laconia and Nancy Dubreuil of Belmont; a brother, Armond Dufault of Newark, New York and many nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH, using the Whipple Avenue entrance.

A Graveside Service will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia on Thursday, August 22, 2002 at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 State Route 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110-5032.
