Perry Westcott

Nashua-----Perry Westcott, 71, formerly of Nashua and Laconia, died suddenly on March 26, 2010 at the Mariner’s Hospital in Tavernier, Florida. He was the widower of Barbara (Colvin) Westcott who died June, 2003.

Mr. Westcott was born February 14, 1939 in Croton, Michigan, the son of Arthur L. and Helen (Anderson) Westcott. He graduated from Newaygo High School in 1957 and graduated with a B.A. degree from the University of Alabama in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961 and in 1963 married Barbara Colvin.

Mr. Westcott was a resident of Nashua, N.H. for thirty-three years before retiring to the Lake Winnisquam area in 2003. He worked for the State of New Hampshire for most of his career.
Mr. Westcott was a lifelong blood donor. He enjoyed hiking, working out, swimming and spending winters in the Florida Keys and was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and Tigers.

Mr. Westcott was always friendly and willing to lend a helping hand.

Mr. Westcott is loved and survived by a son, Brad Westcott, and his wife, Kate, of Suwanee, Georgia; two grandsons, Adam and Alex; a brother, Art, of Newaygo MI; a sister, Sharon, of Grand Rapids, MI; a niece; three nephews and an incredible group of friends.

Services will be on June 5th at 12 PM at the old Hopkinton Cemetery in Hopkinton, NH with a “celebration of life” gathering afterward at the Fireside Tavern, Hopkinton, NH.
