Laconia----------Ernest W. Lariviere, 74, of 25 Union Avenue, Apt. 404 died at the Laconia Center, Genesis Eldercare on Saturday April 11, 2009.

Mr. Lariviere was born February 25, 1935 in Lowell, Mass., the son of Ernest A. and Esther M. (Higgins) Lariviere.

Mr. Lariviere served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He lived in Everett, Mass. for several years before moving to Laconia ten years ago. He was employed as a truck driver with Goodyear for many years.

Mr. Lariviere was a member of the American Legion Post #176 in Everett, Mass, and the American Legion Wilkins-Smith Post #l, in Laconia. He was the Coach of the Everett Huskies Jr. Pee-Wee League in 1978.

Mr. Lariviere enjoyed going to Las Vegas, Nevada, Atlantic City, N. J. and Florida with his family and his friends, Nancy Stanevicz and the late Tony Stanevicz.

Mr. Lariviere is survived by his wife, Mary (Frizzell) Lariviere, of Laconia; a step daughter, Christine Frizzell, of Laconia; two grandchildren, Sara Ann Crosby and Skyla MaryLee Mooney both of Laconia; a brother, John J. Lariviere and his fiancé, Jean Creedon, of Florida and one niece and one nephew.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. The Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH at 2:30 PM. The Rev. Adrien Longchamps, pastor of Sacred Heart Church will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246 or to the Lakes Region General Hospital Education Fund, 80 Highland Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
