Harry B. "Dood" Lamb

Meredith, NH-----Harry B. “Dood” Lamb, 80, of Meredith died on Sunday April 26, 2009 at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia.

Mr. Lamb was born June 3, 1928 in Chelmsford, Mass., the son of Harry and Josephine (Burbeck) Lamb. Harry was raised in Chelmsford and attended Chelmsford schools. He had been a resident of Westford, Mass. before relocating to New Hampshire in 1984.

During his career, Harry proudly served eight years in the U.S. Navy. For several years, he was employed with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service and the Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game, retiring from M. I. T. Lincoln Lab in 1986.

Mr. Lamb held membership in the Aleppo Temple Shrine of Wilmington, Mass. and the William Sewall Gardner Kilwinning Masonic Lodge of Lowell, Mass.

Mr. Lamb is survived by his wife, Nancy A. (McGovern) Lamb, of Meredith; a sister, Nancy Skinner, and her husband, Arthur, of Florida and a niece and nephew.

There will be no calling hours.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children Boston Burns Unit, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, Mass. 02114 or the Bosler Humane Society, PO Box 12, Baldwinville, Mass. 01436.
