Lois "Kate" K. (Helper) Kost

Effingham-----Lois “Kate” K. (Hepler) Kost, 64, of 65 Green Mountain Road, died at her home on Thursday, April 16, 2009.

Kate was born September 27, 1944 in Red Bank Twp, Clarion Co., Penn., the daughter of Norman K. and Olive M. (Glinkerman) Hepler.

Kate was a member of the Center Effingham Baptist Church. She was employed as an apartment manager and had worked for Sawyer Mill Apartments, Dover, Devonshire Apartments, Manchester and Granite Village Apartments, Dover.

Kate helped her husband build their home. She enjoyed making stained glass.

Kate is survived by her husband, Kenneth Kost, of Effingham; a son, Samuel Best; a daughter, Renee Thompson; three grandchildren, Shannon Walters, Bradon Walters and Justin Thompson; a brother, Loni Hepler; three sisters, Edna Riley, Freda Chilson and Lori Hepler; seven nieces and three nephews. In addition to her parents, Kate was predeceased by a son, Jeffery Best, and by a brother, Karl Hepler.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 10:30AM at the Center Effingham Baptist Church, Rte 153, Effingham, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the V.N.A. Hospice of Southern Carroll County, 240 South Main Street, Wolfeboro, NH 03894 or to the Center Effingham Baptist Church, PO Box 146, South Effingham, NH 03882.
