Gilford-----Judith M. (Marks) Barbary, 66, of 9 Sargents Place, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Thursday, April 16, 2009.
Mrs. Barbary was born April 17, 1942 in Bridgeport, Conn., the daughter of Alton T. and Margaret (Ahern) Marks.

Mrs. Barbary lived in Stratford, Conn. before moving to Gilford ten years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Laconia.

Mrs. Barbary was employed as a bookkeeper and office manager at Mercury Communications, Stratford, Conn. She was also employed at Lago Construction, Concord, Woodland Heights School Cafeteria, and Filgate Caterers at N.H. Ballbearing in Laconia.

Mrs. Barbary was a member of the Lakes Region Riders and loved riding with all of her good friends. She was totally devoted to her four grandchildren.

Mrs. Barbary is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Daniel J. Barbary, of Gilford; a son, Daniel A. Barbary, of Wallingford, Conn.; a daughter, Christina N. Polasko, of Manchester, N.H. four grandchildren, Jonathan R. Polasko, Lindsay M. Polasko, Shawn D. Polasko and Daniel J. Barbary and a sister, Gail L. Marks, of Stratford, Conn. Mrs. Barbary was predeceased by her parents.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 4:00-6:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N.H. by Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church. Following the Mass, all are invited to the Laconia Lodge of Lakes, 17 Sugarbush Lane, Gilford, NH 03249.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire, 814 Elm St., Suite #300, Manchester, N.H. 03101-2230.
