Helene Clevenson Saul

White Plains, New York-----Helene Clevenson Saul, 78, of White Plains, New York, died Thursday, April 21, 2005. Mrs. Saul was the widow of U.S.A.F. (Retired) Brigadier General Bernard Saul who died October 29, 2002.

Mrs. Saul was born on January 19, 1927 in Laconia, NH, to Harry and Sadie Clevenson. Helene was a graduate of Laconia High School and attended nursing school in Philadelphia, PA. She retired from nursing in 1984. She took up art after retirement and had a one-man show at the Belknap Mill in 1996. She enjoyed gardening and her backyard was continually blooming from spring through first frost.

Mrs. Saul is survived by her son, Richard Saul, and wife, Charlotte, of Gilford, NH; , daughter, Janet Lantner, and husband, Gary, of Spring, TX; brothers, Sam Clevenson of Schenectady, NY and Sherman Clevenson of Newport News, VA; sister, Diane Stone, of Worcester, MA and numerous nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents; four sisters, Anne Zavod, Lee Lapin, Dorothy Clevenson and Deena Clevenson and three brothers, Julius Clevenson, Gerry Clevenson and Henry Clevenson.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2005 at 11:00AM at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Mazon, a Jewish response to hunger, 1990 S. Bundy Drive, Suite 260, Los Angeles, CA 90025 or to the charity of your choice.
