Muriel D. Huckins

Meredith------Muriel D. Huckins, 84 of 204 Pease Road, died at her home on Thursday, April 7, 2005. She was a cancer survivor, living with cancer for over 28 years. She was the widow of Robert M. Huckins who died in 1979.

Mrs. Huckins was born April 21, 1920 the daughter of Clifton and Doris (Beaman) Morrison. She was raised in Sanbornton before moving to Meredith in 1940.

Mrs. Huckins was a member and a Sunday school teacher at the Meredith Center Free Will Baptist Church of Meredith Center and also at the United Baptist Church of Lakeport. She was a volunteer for the Laconia Head Start Program. She enjoyed crafts, knitting and her flower garden.

Survivors include a son, Leander R. Huckins, of Meredith; a daughter, Beverly J. Huckins, of Concord; 2 grandchildren Timothy Huckins of Meredith and Jason Huckins of Boston; a sister Rita Lott of Ashland; many nephews and nieces. Beside her parents and husband she was predeceased by 3 sisters Theda Burk, Phyllis Robinson and Gwendolyn White.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant St. Laconia, NH on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 1:00PM using the Carriage House entrance.

Burial will be in the family lot at Oakland Cemetery, Meredith, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc. 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
